So what is it?
A dockominium is a water-based condo or apartment. It can be a part of a marina or standalone. Often these are covered boat slips, but can sometimes be living space if built correctly.
So how do you insure them?
It is actually very simple. Insuring a dockominium is almost the same as insuring a condo in the sense that the owner doesn’t own the entire marina, just their portion. Typically, a dockominium policy will cover the structure itself, its contents, and liability.
